Excellent coffee, capuccino (the best one I’ve ever tested!), latte… tea or hot chocolate.

Why « Selma Alabama » ?
Selma, owner of the tea room with her partner Grégory, was inspired by her stay in Turkey where she worked for 2 years and the film « Selma » by Ava DuVernay (2015) about Martin Luther King’s fight for black voting rights and which takes place in Selma, Alabama, in the 60s.

An oriental coffee shop with classic products and oriental pastries and dishes : a delicious and very cute place !

Muffins, cookies, gourmet drinks, lattes and also very good Maroccan pancakes and oriental pastries and of course mint tea.

A very nice place founded in the 19th century which has a unique cachet.

Pastry shop (and tea room) founded in 1898. An institution in Bayeux! High ceilings, mouldings, gilding, chandeliers and frescoes: everything is there for the pleasure of the eyes.
Macarons, nougats, pastries, madeleines… you have the choice !

You can have a tea (large choice) with a delicious cake, enjoy a light lunch and even a brunch on Sunday ( to reserve please).
All is home-made. Pies, quiches, gratins, soups: it’s Nathalie who cooks everything with love ! Salads, croque-monsieur or madame, croque-normand, fried eggs or omelettes…

A tea room with books every where in a quiet and warm place decorated with taste.

In an old house where the book is king and cheap, come and have a tea or a coffee (also juices, beers or local cider…) and a cake, you can even buy the furniture : all is second hand (books & furniture) and for sale !

My favorite pastry is the «Pays d’Auge» : soft almond biscuit, blond chocolate mousse, tatin-style apples, light vanilla cream : sumptuous !!

Excellent bread and pastries. : that’s where I always buy my bread.

Try the baguette « La Belle Ambrée » and « La belle en graines »: a real delight, especially if it just comes out of the oven, hot !
Pastries are also excellent : I particularly like the « Fondant aux pommes » which is a kind of Norman apple pie.
